  • The snow emergency is no longer in effect; the city thanks residents for their cooperation.
  • Mayor Gallo and Fire Chief Brown jointly request that city residents help dig out buried fire hydrants.
  • Earlier this afternoon, the city announced the DPW would be removing snow  Saturday, Feb. 8 from Levan Street, Brewster Street, Staples Street, W. O’Reilly Street and possibly Jansen Avenue from E. O’Reilly to Prince streets, as well as the city lot behind Monkey Joe’s; any cars on those streets or that lot would have been needed to have been removed by 6 a.m. Shortly after, those removals were cancelled.
